As you may be aware, Premier John Horgan announced on September 13th that the Province of BC will follow the lead of the federal government and join other provinces in observing the national day of mourning to commemorate the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

The observance of this one-time holiday includes closing all K-12 public schools in BC to provide the opportunity for British Columbians to reflect and honour the Queen. Please note, all schools and school district offices in the Greater Victoria School District will be closed on Monday, September 19, 2022.
